The Challenge:

Our client, a Fortune 500 Company is seeking a Business Data Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing internal and external customer data sources to identify trends and opportunities and support the Customer Experience department’s decision making. Responsible for understanding multivariable cause and effect scenarios and identifying key root causes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Customer Experience Department projects, initiatives and decision making with business and data analysis
  • Continuously analyze existing data for Customer Experience improvements
  • Identify and deliver additional data/information needs
  • Maintain, enhance and (help) create Customer Experience dashboards, making them understandable and usable to uncover insights
  • Recommend changes in business model and processes to achieve efficiencies, service level or experience improvements
  • Participate in Customer Experience projects to define the business and data requirements
  • Participate in operational discussions for problem resolution and be able to communicate complicated business/technical solutions
  • Analyze current operational models and identify performance improvement opportunities
  • Deliver the data and information in a useful and appealing way to colleagues
  • Improve data culture by providing data visualization ready to use templates
  • Interface with the data and applications teams, as well as operational departments
  • Simulating the outcome of changes in process and workflow
  • Assist with the development of requirements, testing, training documents, SOPs and related materials for CX projects, applications and services
  • Ability to operate within a team-oriented atmosphere
  • Ability to motivate and support peers in achievement of shared objectives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Technology, Information System, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ in Data or Business Analysis related fields
  • 5+ years of overall experience working with utilities, telecom, cable/internet or similar industry, preferably related to Customer Service, Customer Operations or Customer Experience
  • Special Skills/Abilities Needed:
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in both written and oral formats
  • Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Open collaborative style; ability to work in a team environment and autonomously with minimal supervision or direction
  • Superior information visualization skills
  • In-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its use in management decision-making
  • Experience with Customer Experience analysis, including satisfaction, adoption/conversion, segmentation
  • Master Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.…)
  • Experience with Python, Apache Spark, NoSQL/Hadoop, SQL, Machine Learning or Artificial intelligence is helpful
  • Experience in Quality Systems (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) and/or ISO14001 are a plus
